In a vacuum, the white kid has a better shot, but the black child is given more opportunities.

But according to the OPs theory, everything is controlled to be the exact same except skin color. All variables are equal

Peer pressure and being the butt of jokes will make the white kid more motivated to do better in life. I know this because I'm a white guy who didn't come from much and got made fun of but now I make more money than those who thought they were better than me.

I don't think it's no opportunities at all, I think it's simply a worse gig on the whole.
I work for a company that has a pretty big emphasis on hiring women and minorities. The reason is because we are like 95% white males.
Why is that? It's not racism, it's just that we hire and recruit who we know, and that's usually another white male.
It's bettwe for a black kid now than it's ever been, and I don't know if you can fix the headwinds with anything other than time, but it's still behind being a white kid.

I have hiring input on my team. We have 3 black guys out of 14 currently in a majority black city. I recommended hiring 2 of them but it wasn't for diversity's sake. It was because they were qualified and seemed like a good fit.
If we have an opening next week, I'll get 50 resumes and 45 of them will be white males.

The real answer is middle to upper middle class white kid. You get no help because of your race, and you get no help because you aren’t poor. Your family can’t pay for college, and you get diddly for financial assistance or grants. The only way you get an education is to go a-hole deep in debt.
Take it from me. 2 sons in college, both with a 30+ ACT. 1 at UCA, 1 at UA.
