What's to fear? Death is as natural as life. Pondering death should remind us that living is to be enjoyed. Don't worry, be happy.

When you're dead, you won't be conscious to worry about your loved ones. So you might as well just cancel the insurance.

Faced with death, I'm guessing you'd feel a bit differently.

quote:

Do not go gentle into that good night,
Old age should burn and rave at close of day;
Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right,
Because their words had forked no lightning they
Do not go gentle into that good night.

Death being the end should be hated, despised

I’m shocked with all the salesmen on here, nobody mentioned Whole Life. I have a few policies with Northwestern Mutual where as long as I can live to 65, they pay me all the money back. If I die before then, it’s a big death benefit for my family. They’re kinda awesome. I’ve borrowed money against them occasionally for rental properties. Good bit more expensive than term insurance but keeps me from just blowing it on bullshite.

Have a million dollars worth of term. Doesn’t cost much. Have had it since I got married.
If she's the sole beneficiary, you better always be nice and don't get a divorce.

The series "Forensic Files" basically made it's living off of your scenario.

I just picked up a life insurance policy that will cost me $300 bucks for 30 years. It sucks knowing you are going to spend over $100k
