I'm 49, that's generally where my pressure is, sometimes lower. I've been taking Bystolic for bout 5 years. I'm in great shape, hitting gym 4-5 days week. Also, take Adderall, which doesn't help.

Is that an Omron wrist cuff gadget? Don't recall the model number but I have an Omrow wrist machine that seems to work really well.

Vasotec (Enalapril sp?) 10mg twice a day and only $21 for a 90 day supply.

Have to deal with HBP ... runs in the family ... but cholesterol ... without really trying I seldom run over 130.

Runs in my family. Generally controlled with meds.

My dad's was off the charts the past few months and meds weren't helping (they worked to 30 years prior). Like you, he was eating right, not overweight, getting in the regular walks, taking the meds, etc. Turns out, he had developed sleep apnea and they're thinking that's what was behind the change. Started therapy but too soon to tell.

I have apnea and hbp, but the apnea came first and I was already on a cpap when the hbp started.

WTF knows. NW Europeans are just disposed to this shite I think.

I was in a similar situation minus the dope. Started running and it got to a perfect 120/80 in no time.
