Its been going up over the years and tonight was high 150's/90's. Was on Propanolol 80mg and now on Lisinopril 10mg
I dont eat like shite
I am productive, active and not overweight
Quit smoking months ago (smoke weed at night, but doctor said that isnt a big contributor and if done regular, it should decrease it)
Dont drink alcohol
I guess I just have shite genetics?!?
What else can I do besides meds? Any secret hipster foods?

I’m always 130 over 70.
No one seems to know if that’s normal or not. The top number is elevated since 120 is the norm, but my bottom is usually 70-75, never over 80 which is normal.
I don’t know if this is considered good, average or bad.

Everbody except those who have "low" blood presssure !
Fortunately it can controlled by constantly medicating every adult person on the planet forever!
Great break through for medical science and big Pharma!

That's generally not too big of a problem. If you have other risk factors, your doctor may suggest medicine if diet change and exercise don't do anything, but 130/75 on its own isn't a huge deal.
I went to the doctor last week. It's crazy how inaccurate the machines can be. I had my blood pressure at something like 155/95 which seemed crazy high. I told the doctor that it seemed strange, and he instantly said he didn't trust the machines. He had a nurse measure it with the old fashioned device and I got 119/81 and 119/80 for the two readings, which made much more sense. He said the machines often give weird readings (also had my pulse in the 90s when the two hand readings were mid 60s and low 70s).
This is at a world class hospital, too.

Umm Id rather not have a stroke or heart attack brother.
I dont think its a scam if it reduces it.

Oh I know. I hate machines. The wrist machines are by far the most inaccurate. When they do mine manually at a clinic it’s way lower than either a bicep cuff or wrist machine.

Yeah I never can get a machine to take mine. Always has to be done manually.

fricked my femur up back in 2008 doing the same thing. Not a crash but fell during training.
Are you completely immobile when it comes to running? Serious question. Maybe change your diet if you haven’t already.

Keeps mine steady at 120 over 80 and without it it goes up over time. 150 over 90
Went up when I got older.

As for the OP, it can be very frustrating when things just can't be fixed and there really is no cause for the disease. For me, blood pressure is not a problem. It's sleep apnea.
I don't smoke, I exercise regularly, I eat a good diet, and I am 6' 170 pounds. I think the heaviest I've ever been is 175. Most of my sleep apnea "peer group" are 300 pound chain smokers. There's no explanation for it other than physiology. I can't breathe through my nose much, I have a very narrow windpipe, my septum is deviated, and I just naturally seem to sleep on my back even if I try to sleep on my side.
I would love to have a pill to end this but instead I may have to use a CPAP for life
Sometimes it really is just bad luck and/or genetics (no one else in my family has sleep apnea).

Mine has been high since my early 30s. My dad was the same way and neither of us are fat. I workout but if I don't take medication it's dangerously high. 165/105 is a fairly typical reading for me off of medication so I take it and watch my salt intake. I'll likely take it the rest of my life.
