Once one of my bosses called me on Father's Day and basically told me to get to the office and have something ready for him before noon when he had to leave town for a death in the family. Well, I went in and did the deed, and taped it to the door of his locked office. That sucked but I still had a job.

I was really lucky. In an almost 40 year working career I really only had one bad boss. The guy really thought he was God's gift to the business world. His incompetence was laughable.
But guess what... one day I get a call from a coworker to tell me that Ole a-hole was asked to retire...immediately.

That is kind of shitty. i mean, when you are working, you should never expect anything extra than the job itself, but sometimes it is nice to make the guys feel appreciated... Especially on Christmas. I bet he is the type who probably actually enjoys having to go into work on holidays because he hates his wife, but he is also mad at the world..

I'm dreading the day my boss isn't my boss any longer. She is the GOAT. Constantly puts me in the best position to succeed, gives me all the advice to succeed, AND gives me all the credit when I somehow manage not to frick it all up. She is a true leader and I will always tell anyone who will listen how valuable and amazing she is.
