The O/T is more effective at keeping up with regional stories that matter than the local media, hands down.
In a 24/7 news cycle. How could you expect local news/media to recycle the same story?
The biggest negative about the OT is the recycled threads that happen once a month if not once a week.

I rarely post on the MSB or the Rant. Sports have just becoming boring and repetitive for me and O has killed any excitement about LSU football.
I'll stick to the OT, FDB, Travel, M/TV, H/F, and when I feel like shitposting, I'll venture over to the PT.

The Rant has turned into a seif-hatred vent for the spoiled children within the LSU fan base. Sometimes it is simply unbearable.
The O/T and Political boards offer stuff that may actually matter.

I've never been over to the sports boards. I don't even like sports except baseball and to a lesser extent football. I am only a casual fan of LSU football and don't know enough about the players to really talk about them.

Honestly, we need a Dating/Marriage board and a St.George board at this point.
Also, Chicken should add a feature that shows who up or down votes your post. Other forums have it. It would cut down on the humble post bragging that happens on here.

I don't expect them to do much of anything, these days. They're usually too busy covering the typical shooting/stabbing/assault stemming from a game of dice gone wrong. No need to worry about recycling that one- there will probably be a new chapter within 24 hours, anyway.

I came for Saints talk, spent some time there then migrated to the poli-board since I'm conflict oriented and there's always someone to argue with.
Now I spend most time between poliboard, OT, movie/tv, and recently food/drink.
TD isn't so much a football forum, but rather a South-Louisiana forum.

Came over when we joined the SEC to post on the SECr, pretty quickly made this site my go-to.

I'll do a drive by on the rant to make fun of the O lovers but generally prefer the OT...movie board sometimes but strangely the PoliTards have screwed that up too

It doesn't take long to get tired of the rant. I'm mostly on the OT, Movie, food, and golf board.
