12/31 is our wedding anniversary, so we've always done our own thing

I normally don't but I got a phone call today from some friends that I never get to see asking me to come out. They may just be using me as a DD though. That's probably what they're doing the more I think about it

Years ago my wife and I went to a NYE event and some dumbass shot off a can of pepper spray and shut the place down. I haven't gone out since with exception of LSU bowl game events.

This year we're going to see the Houston symphony from 8-10. Be home by 10:30 and hope the AL/MSU game is still on.

It won't be busy on the Peds floor that I work on. The ER though will be very busy. As will the burn ER (people blowing up their hands with fireworks). Last NYE I worked I counted 6 helicopters bringing trauma patients that night and they must have called at least 5-6 trauma codes overhead that shift.

On an average day, how many chopper trauma patients come in? Is it one of those things where on a good day you 0, on a bad day.. 1 or 2?

I'm usually in bed at midnight. Don't remember the last time I stayed up. Was probably 2000.
