Isn't Baylor's stadium really nice?

Auburn has the new shiny scoreboard thing

Yeah, I have no idea what nicest means in this context.
I love Tiger Stadium and really consider it the definitive college football stadium. I wouldn't consider it the "nicest", though.

So you never go to the bathroom or the concession counter?
very nice - you got me
i'm embarrassed to say that i haven't been back to red stick for a game in probably 10 years. i just have memories growing up as a kid playing football on the indian mounds and walking around to different tailgates. inside the stadium was an experience i'll never forget. i'm sure the facilities are dated but as far as the overall feel when the stadium is packed, there's nothing like it.

"Nicest" can mean different things.
i agree, sir. very vague on my part. i guess i was just looking for an overall experience.
i see them all on tv but to be there is entirely different.

NRG Stadium is nice.
Wait you mean the Texans really aren't a CFB team?

One of the nicest I have toured. The interior is clean, well planned, and houses their athletic admin offices and training rooms for all sports.
parking on gameday looks to be a cast iron b*tch though.

The new section and the club levels at Tiger stadium are really nice. To me most college football stadiums are like Tiger Stadium as far as concessions and bathrooms and concourses. I've enjoyed most SEC stadiums for what they are. (haven't been to Mizzou, Vandy, SC and A&M) But they all have their quirks. I really hate that stadium in Little Rock that Arkansas would play us at. That stadium sucks arse so hard, probably the worst. Tad Gormley when Tulane played had to be the worst. A great high school football stadium is a horrible college football stadium, unless you live in Texas.

lol, they play like one. i lived there for 6 years and felt like i was cheating on my saints. i wanted them to win but they always sucked.
UH is a different story, they actually have a decent following for being a smaller university. they are getting commitments (doesn't mean shite nowadays) from top recruits this year... if they can keep winning they will continue to sign talent. I honestly thought they'd fall off the map once keenum was done.

McLane Stadium - Baylor
damn - quite impressive.

when they only had the one upper deck, and I was staying extended time in Austin I used to drive by on 35 and think it was nearly vertical, it looked so steep.
I'm from Austin, but never went to a game there as a kid, or when visiting. We just never play there and I was never around in that season.

Why would they not close in the entire stadium?

i myself have had the chance to visit this venue. austin itself is, in my opinion, one of the nicest cities in the country to live. you've got it all in one place; big city feel, nature, college town and a cyclist who cheated and now sports 1 nut.

what's tailgating like at Baylor? seems like getting a prime spot close to the stadium would be difficult

quote:I'm not 100% sure, but I think they wanted to include a view of the Brazos River and be part of the ambiance. It only holds around 45k I think (I could be very wrong here). But I don't think they need too much more space. I'm not a Baylor alumni, fan, or anything. Just hear a lot about how nice it is.

Haven't seen the new UH one in person, but I hear it is very nice as well. Also, only holds about 40k.

Yes McLane Stadium is, not large but lots of room on the concourses, concessions easily accessed, large bathrooms, good seating and sight lines. Has lots of the wifi and technology features folks like nowadays and a very large video board. Great view of campus across the river.
