The spike in air/space tech after was also noteworthy. We have stayed relatively stagnant in that aspect since then.

It was NASA testing.

Who believes that a flying saucer crashed in Roswell in 1947?

Our government is capable of keeping anything secret if they fear for their lives, or they are compensated financially.
There are far too many people who do not fear for their lives. Most know we’re all going to die anyway and live to be remembered after they die. What better way to be remembered than to reveal a well kept secret?

Saw something recently that said it was a high altitude balloon with microphones attached used for detecting nuke explosions from the Soviets. It was supposedly a highly classified program so the govt actually let the public run with the alien theory to cover their arse. Seems to be the most plausible explanation imo.

They were some very credible witnesses at the scene. People whom had nothing to gain and everything to lose by coming forward. Thoughts?
I had a great uncle that was stationed there at the time. It is where he met his wife, my great aunt as she was born and lifelong resident of roswell, NM. He was a flight navigator for U-2 spy planes. He also played a part in the Cuban Missle crisis as well. Many in our family believed he was CIA. He would get calls all hours of the night. He could not tell my great aunt where he was going or when he would be back. She would receive checks in the mail made out to my great uncle from companies she never heard of from all over the world (govt shell companies)
He stated that when the UFO crashed, the govt rushed out to see it. When they saw an alien and the UFO, they freaked out. Not just at the alien but the fact that the UFO was far more advanced than anything they had. The alien, the ufo, if they freaked out over it, how much moreso with the public. That is why they called it a weather balloon. I cannot remember if the alien was dead or alive when he told the story. Either way, that is his account of what happened.

Interesting fact.
The first or one of he first guys on the scene was from south Louisiana, Lafourche Parrish I think.
Name was Marcel. The UFO museum in Roswell has an entire wall dedicated to him.

Thoughts?
Hawking in an interview said: “Meeting an advanced civilisation could be like Native Americans encountering Columbus — that didn’t turn out so well.”

The grays have evolved to orange. They've also become very good at mind control.
