The USAF was testing ejection seats for high speed, high altitude jet aircraft. They used crash test dummies that were instrumented to read the G forces incurred during ejection.

Some of the bomber ejection systems tested used pods to eject some of the crew members.

Maybe Robert Mueller can investigate it since he's being allowed to investigate everything else under the sun.
