I can't really fault anyone for not liking Gilbert Gottfried, since I didn't care for him at first either. Yes, it was the voice.

But I watched his Up All Night show on USA in the '90s, and he did some funny bits. I got used to the voice.

But what really got me into GG was his LINK ]Amazing Colossal Podcast, greatest podcast of all time. For comedy fans it's absolutely essential.

The episode with Bob "Super Dave" Einstein may be the funniest podcast ever.

All famous comedians have some good material. Only the best can keep it up. I saw Bert Kreischer recently and it was hilarious but disappointing cause it was all his same material. Nothing new. Good comedians are able to bring new. It's hard AF to be a comedian and getup on stage and keep doing it no matter how hard your stuff falls flat. Some stuff doesn't hit the same with some audiences as it does other.

Bill Engvall

He has the lamest, most contrived, corniest material, but he laughs at every single one of his own “jokes” like it the most hilarious line ever delivered.

Utter dog shite

I fricking hate him.

ETA: you know those “little things that piss you off” threads, I just realized mine is Bill Engvall comedy

Gilbert Godfrey was awful. I'm truly baffled by the OT's affection for him. I assume it's because he recently died. His stand up was terrible and his TV/Movie work was terrible. The only time he was remotely funny was in a few celebrity roasts. And that was mainly because his vulgarity was so brash and unexpected. Other than that, a completely worthless comedian.

Nailed it.

Women are just terrible at comedy. I don't even consider them in this conversation. They're awful at it.

I don't know if he's the worst of all time, but I really really did not like the guy with the puppets that was popular maybe 10 yrs ago. Just not funny. Norm McDonald, George Carlin....thats more my style.

I would say she is even worse than that. In my opinion she is as funny as childhood cancer.

Andy Kaufman on Letterman

That is hilarious. The man was easily the biggest pain in the arse in the world and yet he was so funny that people still kept giving him work.
