I prefer Nathan Fisher. He’s the official criminal defense attorney of the LSU Fightin’ Tigers.

Nathan has been dead for coming up on half a decade.

And Rolls Royce. He got rid of one Bentley (kept the convertible) and upgraded to a Rolls. Might have gotten 3 new retainers that week... ???????

Did he get your sodomy conviction removed from your record?

S has fond memories of his release after the sodomy charge.

I can verify this.

It was 50K way back in like 2000ish. I guess inflation.

Martin Regan is a very good attorney, but Hatch was acquitted because the kid he hired to do the hits flipped on the stand and ate the charge. Without his testimony, the state had nothing.

That kid is doing life now.

Actually I can’t verify this but I knew a guy I went to High School with that had to pay 65K for a 11 pound meth bust in Beauregard Parish in 2007 so I Imagine his retainer for murder cases is much higher.

Jason Williams was lead on that case. Regan did mainly the voir dire. Williams was outstanding. When Marlo Mike recanted his testimony it was a done deal.

Jimmy Manasseh got Regan on the case when he was conflicted off. I'd hire Manasseh if I was in trouble in Baton Rouge.

It really all depends on what courthouse you are in and whether the case is one that has to go to trial.

Mike Small first, Lewis Unglesby second, and it's pretty close.

I know some years back Mike got $75,000 up front so I'm sure it's $100 grand by now.

He's walked a bunch of folks who were dead to right guilty. So has Unglesby.

Martin Regan is great but he takes too many cases.

Lewis Unglesby is fantastic of course. I heard that Boosie actually wanted to hire him right off the bat but there was a personality conflict.

Gary Wainwright is incredibly smart and knowledgeable. Interesting dude.

10 years ago if I needed a Nola attorney I’d have hired Frank Desalvo.

This is a refreshing topic for the OT. Not sure we have discussed this around here yet.

We just need to sticky this thread at this point.
