I woke up last Thursday and couldn't get out of bed. Head was pounding, body ached, nausea. Oddly no respiratory symptoms. I had a flu shot and it didn't feel like the flu, but some other type of virus.
Took off thursday and friday, slept until Sunday afternoon. I rarely get sick and haven't missed work from being sick in a long time. Back at work today and feeling ok. Still kind of achy but I think it's just my back from sleeping for so long

I got the flu shot in October when getting a physical on the recommendation by my doctor because of having a child under one year old. Me and my son both ended up with the flu. This is anecdotal, but I've had the flu twice in my life and both times I had gotten the flu shot. I think I'll take my chances from here on out

Started feeling bad last night, this morning feeling worse. Hopefully its just a quick cold and doesn't progress. Nothing in particular wrong just feel shitty and tired. Throat was real sore this morning.

Welcome to what I woke up to last sunday 12/31... Got progressively worse with head congestion/sinuses followed by not being able to breath through 1 nostril then 2. Worst days were probably 2 and 3 days after original symptoms. Finally started to feel better on Friday 1/5 and at like 95% today.

I saw a stat yesterday that a Dr. posted. Something like
This strain of flu only 60-65% are actually testing positive, the test isnt picking it up

It seems there are two strains this year, at least. One is a stomach drainer, and the other is a chest stomper. I have the latter now and it fricking blows.

Never had the flu, but I get an upper respiratory infection every year. Haven't gotten it yet, but I'm getting married in 4 weeks, so I'm sure that's when it'll hit.
I've been taking vitamins and extra vitamin C since November, so hopefully it helps out.

This. People are bitches in general, so this is no surprise.
I'm just now getting sick for the first time this season. Not sure I feel like taking PTO right after getting back from Christmas vacation

I got sick a few weeks back. Bad fever all day and night, pissing out of my arse and extreme nausea, etc for 2 days. It sucked so bad. I just got a flu shot today though. Probably too late.
