Never met a Klansmen but I've met some Aryan Brotherhood idiots working in the oilfield. Most of them have either swastikas or those double lightning bolt/SS tattoos. I wish other breeds of idiots would permanently mark themselves like that, it makes them fairly easy to avoid.

They exist. Used to be a Klan rally once a year in my hometown back in the 80s. Died off because even the whites were scared of the white nationalist types. They were biker/meth freak types and eventually in northern Mississippi, even the white folks couldn’t put up with it anymore.

Man I can't thank you enough. Here I thought they didn't and were of no relevance as I blindly, aimslessly, skip through this life worry free. I truly am lucky considering how active, dangerous and prevalent they are down here. TRULY THANKs. Coulda been any of us...

Well if hating is your passion, you tend to seek out others who view a common enemy. Sometimes they'll be intelligent, which is where you usually find organization.

With the rise of fricking antifa and such here, people are pushing back more. plus..rural oregon, minus the mountains and amazing nature reminds me a lot of Central and North Louisiana. People just want to hunt, fish, make life choices around truck suspension, drink, church, fight, dollar general, Krispy krunchy and if they had a decent football team in a 500 mile radius they'd be about that too.

Which contrasts with portland, where many people think differently. I'm fairly accepting to weirdness. But people here are legit fricking crazy. They believe their delusions, and find people who share those too..its all a cycle.

I love the occasional weak arse "klan rallies" that pop up. It is usually just 5 or 6 old frickers sitting around a grill. None them can even stand a cross up to burn it and Melvin forgot the lighter fluid again so they can't even cook anything, much less have a cross burning.

There's always a news crew out there pimping the fear for those useless frickers.

Suggesting they don't exist in real numbers is as deluded as suggesting they are a mainstream movement. White supremacists/nationalist/separatists exist as evidenced by forums like Stormfront unless you suggest their over 350,000 members making over 13 million posts are just LARPing and this is only one site and only representative of those that will actually sign up.

That being said they are not a current existential threat to our society but at the same time the far left is driving more people in that direction.

If you keep telling people that they are racists, white supremacists, etc., eventually they will just say frick it and embrace it.

Funny, though, similar groups of other races don't get called out at all, really. Hell, sometimes they even hold voter registration drives and such.

I fricking hate those 2 bands with a passion. Mainly cause of both bass players being POS people, I can't separate art from the a-hole once I've spent time with them.

Those bands are comprised of POSs and you choose to just single out the bassists?

You are absolutely correct. The far left and far right are the best recruiting tool for the opposite faction. The worst is when everyone on the other side of the political spectrum is labeled as a far-left or right extremist when in reality those that are actually out on the fringes are relatively few in number. It results in more people inching or diving to the extreme once they are labeled as such.

Not all, Mick Mars was cool. He deserved a better band tbh. And Ace Frehley is hilarious if you're not doing business with him.

Eta

I respect a bass player who brings skill to the table. Guys like Cliff Burton, Les Claypool, Alex Webster, Flea, Justin Chancellor, etc

I'll not listen to this Blackie Lawless-type bass player talk from you.

You were on top of this stuff long before the rest of us. I was a bit naive.

Were those guys ex-cons? I’ve always wondered if the Aryan Brotherhood was a thing outside of prison and people who spend time in and out of prison.
