This is one of the dumbest hypotheses that people put forward simply because of the inverse square law. Unless the bomb was floating a couple of hundred feet in the air the radiation leaking from any sort of radioactive bomb would have been reduced to background levels by distance. Anyone with a decent high school science education would know it doesn't make sense.

The FAA is still part of the previous administration. Until Trump gets all his people in, I am going with "The FAA is lying to the President."
