Which year starts a new Century/Millennium 00 or 01?

Say 1900 or 1901, 2000 or 2001?
I mean you could look at the new century as 00 but that is the last year of the last century. It is totally weird that 1899 and 1900 are in the same century. That 2000 is not a new millennium.

I consider the start of this millennium when Willenium dropped - 11/16/99

What difference, at this point, does it make?

You need a little historical perspective to really appreciate a new millennium.

What year was Jesus born in?

Traditionally year 1.
However, I've read some articles that place his birth in 4 B.C. or somewhere around there, which is funny.

Technically, it’s 01, because their was no year zero, so the 1st century was 1-100, and so on.
In actual usage, it’s 00.
So the 1st century only went from 1-99.

I think year 0 is the traditional date.
Scholars usually say around 4 BC because that’s when Herod was still alive.

Leap Years at Millenniums are Honey Badger-esque.

Some historians put Jesus birthday around April, but I've seen none that had it at January 1.
So, whatever year he actually was born, would be off anyway.

There was no year 0, so it can't be that.
4 BC, 3 BC, 2BC 1BC, 1AD, 2AD, 3AD...

I saw an old black and white movie named "Panic In the Year Zero" so that is definitive proof that there is a Year Zero.

The first 364 days after his birth would be year 0
