I made a chili yesterday actually. I cook a lot on the grill, but I can cook etoufee, gumbo, and I can boil anything put in front of me.

I can't say that I have ever cooked a stew though.

For the OP, without a doubt Louisiana is #1 at cooking.

We still do it better and it usually isn't the men cooking them in Yankeeville from my experience.

I cook infinity times better than my gf. I enjoy cooing though. I hate cleaning and she doesn't mind so it works out perfect. I cook 5/7 nights for us. Other two are usually take out or a frozen pizza.

Sometimes she'll make bacon and eggs for me in the morning but that's about as far as it goes for her.

Hang on now.

You've seen me and I'd like to think I know my way around some food.

Chances are you had a shitty one.

I just force myself to remember that pastalaya and jambalaya, although 99% the same, are completely different.

So the overwhelming response is Louisiana... imagine that on a lsu based board. The correct answer is South Carolina. I can do anything from frying perfect chicken to baking a German chocolate cake.from shrimp cocktail (my own cocktail sauce) to perfect bbq .....also my own sauce. Y'all can put a bunch of shite in a pot a boil it. Good for you.

Yes, that's celery. That's the first time I tried it in chilli. I probably won't do it again.

I added the beans (kidney and pinto) a little bit later and then let it go for another hour.

Ok looks good as is if I were putting it on a hot dog. I don't like celery other than with wings and ranch but to each their own I guess.

I browned the meat and all the vegetables together.

What do you mean by "sweat down"?

There isn't much I can't cook. I guess I don't do a lot of baking (like cakes & stuff) but I'm good with just about anything else.
