How good of a student were you in college?
Graduated with a 3.56 in accounting, so certainly not the smartest person at all.
Studied on average about 2 months for each part. Only did the questions though. Spent zero time on reading the text. I dont learn that way

used to have 5 parts:
2 Practice
1 Theory
1 Audit
1 Law

I can't believe they let people take it piecemeal now. That mf'r was a beast back when you had to take all four parts at once (until you at least conditioned 2 sections).

Sounds like it would be pretty similar for me. FAR and Tax are not my strong suits.

I did AUD first, because I do 0.0 percent auditing in my job, and I was afraid that the further I got away from college, the less I would remember. So I took it first while I was relatively fresh from college.
Then, I took REG, because I thought I would not need to study that long for it, because it did involve a lot of what I do everyday.
Then, I took FAR. I wanted to have enough time to study a lot since i was worried it would be the hardest.
Lastly, I took BEC, because I thought it would be the easiest, and naturally, I got my lowest score (79) on that one.
I took them late October, late November, mid-January, early February.
Then, I took REG, because I thought I would not need to study that long for it, because it did involve a lot of what I do everyday.
Then, I took FAR. I wanted to have enough time to study a lot since i was worried it would be the hardest.
Lastly, I took BEC, because I thought it would be the easiest, and naturally, I got my lowest score (79) on that one.

The "hardest" part for one guy may be the easiest for the next so its hard to give you a one size fits all answer.
That being said, based on your experience and interest in school, this is a really solid strategy imo.
Audit is virtually all theory so the study time won't be near as much as it is for FAR.

I had a hard time getting motivated to study again after grad school so it took me a few years to get back into it. I did AUD, BEC, REG, then FAR, which is basically reverse order from most people. I wanted to get a few under my belt to make sure I was motivated for the tougher tests. And I think it helped to learn the best study methods on the easier tests. Learning the study methods that work best for you is half the battle.
I was actually a great student but you have to dig deep to want to study this much after you graduate.

I didn't know it at the time but FAR was the easiest for me. I took it first so I had the most time to study. It paid off because I scored a 94. Then I did BEC-88 AUD-90 and REG-83 which was the hardest for me.

Great point. I had it down to a science by REG which was my 3rd part.

I was Captain ROTE in school. It was not easy to "learn" how to study for the exam but it can be done.
