What's up with the "secretary at the front door" of a motel at 4 a.m.?
Is that an official motel staff position, or was it just a random secretary who happened to be staying there?

I'm guessing that was the receptionist, who then spent the 20 minutes searching through the employee handbook for how to respond to this situation.
Hampton Inn definitely staffs the front desk 24/7, although the receptionist in this case should get bonus points for being awake and not taking a nap behind that wall in the office.
Although, a funnier image is the guy in the wife beater and fresh pants pounding on that little bell to get the receptionist's attention, just to tell he "you better witness this"
