The cops wanted to handcuff them to escort them off to the police vehicle. The dad was an attorney and talked them out of doing that. The assholes still took them to the police station and booked them. Stupid money grab bullshite. Back in my day the kids would just be issued a ticket for minor in possession.
As a Destin local I don’t mind the spring breakers but the vast majority of locals and government officials don’t want them at all. They aren’t allowing alcohol by anyone on the beaches in Okaloosa (Destin) and Bay county (PCB) for March. I think that’s bullshite I can’t technically have a beer on the beach.
But they are making moves to do everything possible to prevent college and HS parties. Which includes going out of their way to try and embarrass them and make it a show.

We made the mistake of bringing the foreign exchange student with us. That guy funneled a whole bottle of Jack Daniel's on the balcony. He started trying to pick up girls by screaming in his language. The police appeared quickly after.

Is this in addition to the Chi O’s from LSU getting arrested (or was that actually valid)?

Yep a lot of these communities are tired of the annual spring break takeovers
Plus it lasts for almost two months because all schools have different spring breaks
It goes through Easter
Anyone underage needs to be careful because these coastal towns aren’t messing around anymore
It’s sad some of them are messing it up for everyone else
Funneling a whole bottle of jack Daniels, that’s a good way to die

"Blue Lights" - the local version of Live:PD/On Patrol Live - was best during spring break in Bay county.
As a recent college grad living in FWB, arriving in the late 80s, spring break was a fun time.
Now I am old and tire of the traffic...

Its kind of shitty that no matter what you do today, if it makes a good story then it will be all over the internet with a bunch of jackasses saying all kind of shite about you.. As if college students on Spring Break getting kicked out somewhere is really news worthy.
They drink. That will result in someone or multiple people doing something stupid. Respect to those young folk for living it up. They will talk about this for a long time.

I've had a condo since 1999 and I really don't mind the sprink breakers. The vast majority are respectful and just glad to be there. The travel ball moms and snowbirds are so much worse.

Oblivious is more likely. She probably just learned today what a tool her son is and that he hangs around morons.
