No other gods before me.
#1. That's me.
When anything becomes my fixation above the Lord, it's an idol. Kind of the root of all my sins, when I put anything/anyone on the throne that belongs to God.
Valuing comfort over obedience?
Being a control freak?
Vanity?
Greed?
It's all breaking #1.

1) I gave my ex wife a piece of silver jewelry withq viking rune for strength engraved in it. She had a tough life. Hope it helped. My current sister in law had issues with conceiving. I gave her the same symbol. Didn't tell her what it was, just to keep it close.
4) I do a lot of work on sundays.
The end really.
I suppose the strength rune dooms me, but it was for the right reasons. And I'll be an uncle soon.

Seems like I've heard something like if you broke one you have broke them all.
Sound familiar?

Lots of nasty words don't mention the name of God.
Lots of "dirty" words don't fit in that category.

Well, I don't attend church so there's that.

Sunday is the 1st day of week, Saturday is the Sabbath of the Bible. It’s right there at the earliest point in the scriptures, don’t even have to turn a page. 99% of Americans break the commandment as a result of considering the 1st day of the week as the sabbath.
There’s also lots of lifestyle restrictions to the observance of the Sabbath. Like no cooking, can’t travel, can’t do business like buying food even.
The legalistic Pharisee type Jews would try to make loopholes in the restrictions. Like to get around the travel restrictions they would connect places with strings so that they could claim the connection made them all 1 place so they were not technically traveling.

“It was a sin to think about feeling up Mary. It was a sin to want to feel up Mary. It was a sin to plan to feel up Mary. It was a sin to take Mary somewhere to feel her up. It was a sin to convince Mary to let you feel her up, and it was a sin to actually feel her up. That’s six sins for one feel, man!” - George Carlin

If I had to pick one of the Ten Commandments I’ve broken the most it’s definitely keeping the Sabbath. I think the original purpose behind it was to make sure people weren’t being worked nonstop and had time to rest both for themselves and for those around them. At the same time I also think it’s meant to give us space each week to pause reflect on what God’s done and refocus on Him.
The New Testament seems to emphasize the spirit of the law more than just following it to the letter so in that sense I try to keep the heart of it even if I don’t always do a great job of fully setting aside a day. If we’re going by the literal definition I’ve definitely fallen short but if it’s more about intention and focus maybe I’m not quite as far off.

3 and 4 on the regular. 8 when I was a kid. 7 when I was younger and dumb

3, 4, 5, 7 the most (premarital sex), 8, 10
Glad I finally woke up and will be making atonement for the rest of my days.
But will most likely violate 7 again and maybe 3 when I miss a putt.

It’s wild how often people claim the U.S. legal system is based on the Ten Commandments, yet only breaking #6 (murder), #8 (theft), and maybe #9 (lying) are actually crimes that can land you in jail.

I've probably broken them. Some much more than the others

10/10, and repetition is not the issue when God’s requirement is perfection. That’s why my trust is in the finished work of Jesus Christ on the cross, and not on my performance. He doesn’t grade on a curve, nor factor in me doing better. Religion does that to keep you in the seats and paying the bills, and man happily follows because self righteousness is a drug, and doing better feeds the ego. You gotta figure out who you really are, and what God’s nature is before you then realize your complete dependency on His mercy and grace.

All of them, according to Jesus. I am a poor miserable sinner. Thank God for his mercy.

3, 4, 10
4 the most.
4 the most.

Just about all of them minus murder, banging the hot neighbor, and stealing. Just off the top of my head.

Jesus tells us that if we hate someone we commit murder in our hearts, and if we lusted we committed adultery.
Paul tells us that the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ (Galatians 3:24).
