Nurses are working pretty damned hard too, with no complaints. ?
bullshite.
They're working their normal shifts, unless they want overtime. And yes they're complaining. I hear it every frickin' day. But in fairness to them, they complain no matter what.
Every goddamn ER nurse I know, tries to one up the other with how often, how long and how many they've been exposed to.

Agree.
Very grateful all the labs are staying open. Sone treatments aren't elective. Nurses and docs win, hands down.
As far as all the rest, TYFYS.
Ease up on the whining.
The world don't want to hear about the labor pains, they just want to see the baby.

I’m gonna look you up after this Pandy. I’m considering getting a hotel room for the next month, to avoid exposing my wife and kids. Tell me about how you’re fighting the pandemic. What story will you tell your grandchildren about your cowardice?

Every single day I go to work, I'm balls deep in the wuhan virus. Every single day.

You’re a fricking liar. Otherwise, you wouldn’t have the balls to criticize front line healthcare workers.

Motherfricker, I am a "frontline healthcare worker". I do it at a GNO hospital and I know exactly from where I fricking speak.
Every goddamn nurse in a GNO hospital is taking it pretty frickin' easy right now, in hospitals with almost half the census and ER's with almost half the traffic. All the while making a shitload more money than they were last month.
Now be a good little boy and go frick your own mouth.

Not the story at West Jeff or big Oschner, so you’re still a liar.

True, I dated an icu nurse from Ochsner. She complained about a lot of stuff.

frick yeah it is you dumb frickboy.
Look, I tried to give you the straight dope but you can't frickin' hear it. Thumbs are fricking twiddling in every hospital in the GNO, you fricking dumdum. There's empty hospital beds all over the fricking place. One of the positive byproducts from all this, is it's kept the rifraf and bullshite out of the ED's. Also, elective surgeries in every single hospital have been cancelled.
You stupid motherfricker. Now go frick your own mouth again. You're a garden variety OT drool cup.

However, ican tell you what profession will lose the most: lawyers.
They really are non-essential.
Lawyers play the long game. They aren't concerned about public opinion unless it can be monetized

Just out of curiosity, what do you do?

I'm not going to answer that, other than to say I'm a clinical professional and licensed in three states.

It's turning into a romp as health care workers are pulling away. They have the troop numbers on social media and moral high ground - treating sick patients with homemade protective gear. Truckers can close the gap if a few of them get hijacked while delivering vents.

I can attest to the grocery employees working to exhaustion. They definitely don’t have enough PPE for themselves, especially needed are gloves, because they are sanitizing constantly with harsh chemicals. They also are taking quite a lot of abuse from panicked idiots who believe that limits on items shouldn’t apply to them.
I work in a grocery store pharmacy and gloves really are in short supply. It’s a shame because I know some people bought far, far more than they needed. If any of you have more disposable gloves than you need, consider donating them to your grocery store. It would help to protect their skin while sanitizing and help remind them to not touch their faces.
