Yep. Not sure I'd pay $2000, but I'd definitely pay far more to see them than I would any other band.

Otherwise I can't think of anything that would come close. We paid about 1k to see Turnpike's first show at Red Rocks, but we were pretty drunk when we bought those tickets

Oof

They were way better at the varsity back in 2016 for like 15 bucks than they are now

Live concerts in smaller venues is one of me and Mrs. Iwys favorite things to do. All of our favorite bands are normally in the $30-100 ticket range. Can't really think of any of my favorite musicians that have high ticket prices. Couple hundred for a weekend festival we do every year is about the tops. I'd probably pay $500 or so for those tickets if I had to.

It would need to be something crazy e.g. Elvis back from the dead, or as others have also said, Lead Zeppelin Reunion, Ringo/George, where there might be only one more chance in a lifetime.

I spent that 3 separate times this past summer to see The Dead at the Sphere.

But that was for a total of 8 shows.
I guess you could say I did too if count flights, rooms, entertainment and tickets .

Le Pétomane

This is fascinating. Le Pétomane, the stage name of the artist, translates to "fartomaniac" - he could fart at will. Mel Brooks in Blazing Saddles played Governor Lepetomane. The fascinating thing is, someone as old as I can actually learn something new. ...what?

I'd have love to have seen Soul's Godfather, but I'm not guessing for $2000.

Bought a James Brown t-shirt just the other day.

I’d rather see a major orchestra or broadway play. Live pop music seldom sounds good.

I used to want to see a KISS concert but I really don’t care anymore.
Last concert I saw was The Judds.

I was supposed to see Def Leppard in the early 80s. But the girl I was with was gorgeous and had a sweet sideways smile. .

Absolutely none. I can spend maybe a few hundred on someone I like but $2000? frick no. Could go on a decent trip/vacation for that.

Okay fine if you had Jimi Hendrix, Jim Croce, The Beatles, Queen, Led Zeppelin, etc. still alive and in their prime, then I might but obviously not realistic. No one today is worth that.

I went to the Texass Jam when I was a freshman, paid $12.50 I believe and got a bill with Aerosmith, Cheech n Chong, Ted Nuget, Journey, Heart and Van Halen, plus a few more.
