The pressure from the buildup of gas inside the box causes this to happen, especially when shaken. It doesn't happen often but it does. If you open the box the juice goes everywhere, but if you poke a hole in the top of the box first it vents and depresurises the juice box so no mess.

What's going on with that cat. I knew a guy that could snort one of the old foil icicles people put on Christmas trees up his nose and cough it out his mouth. He would then pull it back and forth and then snatch it out through his mouth.

I press in the ends of various wraps such as Reynold's to keep the roll in place. Not so much a hack as using the thing as it is designed to be used, but lots of people don't know about it, so sort of a hack.
