I’m aware of Ace Marks and some of J&M’s stuff. I like Thomas Bird but it looks like they might be going under?
Any other lines that y’all have keyed in on?

I was recommended to try out Meermin on here. They are Spanish and a good price point.
I bought one pair and was so impressed I now own 3 pairs. They are very well made and very good looking.

Yep. They have great customer service too. I talked to a rep who asked me what brand I have now and what size they are and she confirmed I had the right size.
It's UK size so you pick a size slightly smaller. There are conversion charts.

All dress shoes look completely identical these days.

And in person.
Had a couple executives at work say "nice shoes" and those guys wear $2,000 shoes
They are stiff and sturdy. Handmade with the Goodyear Welt and all that jazz. Takes some breaking in, but they are wearing in incredibly well.
Recommend them to a lot of people.

No they fricking don't
And they certainly aren't made as well. J&M's have jumped the shark, used to be my go-to affordable shoe, but they are poor quality now. Just had some To Boot New Yorks that broke down in a year.

They just don't last the same. I used to wear J&M quite a bit but I pretty much only buy goodyear welted shoes now that can be resoled. They might cost 2-3x as much but they'll last 20 years.
