I have heard of Meermin. Look nice. Do they have the same ‘sound’ as an Italian shoe when walking on a hard surface? I am guessing so with the leather heel.

It's not too often I take an OTers advice but I think I'm going to order me a pair. You sound convincing and another good quality shoe brand at the right price is right up my alley.
