Definitely was better as a kid.
The last time I wore a Halloween costume was 2009. I'd dress up if I had some Halloween party to go to, but otherwise meh. Not interested.
ETA: The only girls I see doing the "slut" costumes are pretty young (like 16-20) or extremely trashy. There is a very small window that the slut costumes can be pulled off.

adult. As a kid it was only about candy, as an adult I get to do the kiddy thing with the kids, trunk or treat at their school, then haunted houses and gory costumes.

Mid-20's was the shite. Slutty everything. Got handcuffed to a hottie and ended up doing shots and then other things later. Might as well since we couldn't get away from one another.

Adult. Halloween/Christmas/Fall Holliday parties are the best. Never was in to trick or treating much anyway
