I've got a 2012 eco boost with 188k on it. Only issue I've experienced is idling in drive through a parking lot i.e. over speed bumps, will cause the engine to shift hard at times. I just put it in 2nd gear, and it chills tf out.

I like my 2011 Lariat far more than my 2015 XLT. Both had the 5.0. They both had the built in trailer controllers. The 2015 did some really weird shite while a trailer was hooked up that the 2011 didn't and, to me, the 2011 is the best looking truck I have ever had.
People say that the 5.4 is a better motor but I had a ton of miles on my 5.0 V8 and got much better gas mileage. I was getting about 21 on a long wheel base with a 36 gallon tank. I could get my range up to about 750 miles on the interstate running about 75.

I run 5w-40 heavy duty oil in everything except my outboard. Its excellent stuff.
