And what do you base your preference on?

Hotel.

I don't like touching other people's stuff.

I see someone else listens to Rick & Bubba... But definitely AirBNB.

I’ve done airbnbs my past 4 vacations. Although checking in/out can be more challenging, it was cheaper, nicer and in areas that made it easier to access the activities of my vacations.

Depends. If an Airbnb is twice the advertised price at checkout after "cleaning" fees, I'll take the hotel.

Airbnb and it isn't close.

Feels more like a home and not just some transient room. Often cheaper.

I don’t have enough experience with Airbnb. Normally when I need a room I just need somewhere to sleep for a wedding or something so I just get a room off Priceline. If it’s a bigger group and it’s something more planned Airbnb is probably a better option so you get the amenities of a house. We got one off the water last year off the Tickfaw. It was great.

My one stay at an Airbnb in Jersey City, NJ was fantastic.

If I can get a whole residence close to where I need to stay for similar/cheaper than a hotel, I will go Airbnb 100% of the time.

I will not pay $50-100 more for an Airbnb though.

Depends on where you are going:

NYC - hotel
LA - Airbnb
Miami Beach - Airbnb
Atlanta, Houston, Dallas - Hotel
Austin - Hotel/Airbnb depending on season

I base it on the city I'm visiting, the price of accommodations in regards to location, and amenities, then price.

I don't look that much into it. At the end of the day, it's just a place with a bed that I hopefully won't be spending too much time in.

With hotels you have $50 parking and 20% tax so it evens out

Yup. Been listening since it was Rick’s Morning Extravaganza on Q104 in Gadsden and Bubba was just an occasional guest.

Last 3 family trips we took we stayed at AirBnB. It works because we have small children and usually a dog with us.

All 3 were strictly rentals/AirBnB so it wasn’t weird like staying in someone’s actual home.

Usually much cheaper than hotels and all the damn fees.

If it's just a night or two somewhere, I'll go hotel. If longer, Airbnb is fantastic.

For those of you not wanting to touch other people's stuff, I'd really recommend checking out Airbnb rather than just automatically thinking it's people renting out their homes. Most of the properties are investment properties where people don't actually live, just rent out space just like a hotel does...no personal items laying around, no family pictures, bare-bones kitchen items, neutral decor...a rental in every aspect.

Hotel, preferably a Marriott.

I'm not staying in some stranger's house. That's how you end up in some weird sex dungeon and then buried in the backyard.
