I'm 100% heterosexual so that makes sense. That used to a rave club for straight people.

Isn't there a gay bar across the street from the Pastime though? Not calling you gay but I could have sworn there was. Mikelbr will chime back in soon and straighten us all out

I think place name began with a G

For some reason I think it was George's? Never went there just remember it. Was in front of Steinberg's.

Loved that place. My dad used to take me there all the time. The stuffed polar bear was fascinating to me at like 6 years old.

It's Georges Place.
And is still alive and kickin. Karaoke there is a lot of fun.

Traditions(now Splash) most definitely promoted "breeders nights" on the Radio and on windshields at LSU to get more business on certain nights. Thursdays were definitely straight(er) than most. By the peak of the GHB Craze at end of 90s, it was routinely full of shirtless straight dudes cracked-out of their minds bobbin to techno music.

This was a time in late 90s when Baton Rouge had Zilch for night life outside of Tigerland and the aforementioned places for fighting.

If you liked a edm club scene, Traditions and Triple A was all you had for legit bars. We would often drive over two Makos and Outer Limits in Laffy area or to Kenny's and Escapades/Aliens in Metry.
Over the years there was usually also an all-night club open that was not very safe nor did they serve alcohol like The Zone/FX, Weekends, The Shelter, Club Neo among others.

I dated a chick that was a model before my wife. I'm definitely not all that before people think that's what I'm saying.

She had a lot of gay friends and took me to a lot of gay bars in Nola. I asked one of her friends one time why I never got hit on. I was kind of offended

He told me, fallguy you are kind of cute but you ooze straight white male. You are the least gay looking mfer in here in your Levi's and Doc Martens

My Denizens(Levi's for Target), Kohl's or BCG(Academy) Polos, and Asics Dad Shoes do it for me.

You are correct. First name was Matt. I had bought an old car from him a couple years before that.
