As expected they were on us really fast. But our BRPD buddy explained what happened. He was older(friend of my brother) and wasn't nearly the stereotypical BRPD hothead. Never been in a fight in his life.
He tried to diffuse the shite got our group to all leave together and go to Tigerland.
But sloppy country boy followed us out to parking lot when we realized he was not letting us leave without trouble, so I acquiesced to a fisticuffs in place of my brother's friend. Ole boy's friends were standing by like "welp. he's getting what he deserves in a fair that he insisted on starting" That's my only glorious fight with a happy ending all around.

I usually got beat up real good by more than one guy(murphys 95), hurt myself(fell off 3ft high curb near Makos on the Mckinley Strip that same year in 94), or got beat by cops and put in jail(tiger bar in 93).
Fighting is absolutely stupid, young OTers.

I guarantee you were with or knew this guy. You happen to remember a big chubby black dude from Central who hung with white country boys? He looked scary at about 6'2, but was incredibly soft and weak. I recall from the cops grilling us, he was a year or two younger than me and was in High school at the time. They were bitching to the cops about that "He's in HIGH SCHOOOL. We're from Central" Cops were like "he's at a BAR starting fights. GTFO with that shite."
I woulda guessed he was a senior at Central class of 95.

I probably wasn't with him.

I remember a big somewhat chubby black guy named Phillip. He was pretty laid back though so it's hard to imagine him picking a fight. I only went to CHS in 95 & 96. I was a private school brat most of my schooling.

I'm a laid back guy and didn't get in a lot of fights but have been in a few due to alcohol.

I've always been a big dude so people mostly left me alone. I'm thankful for it too because I don't really care to fight unless I have to

Same here. I'ved used that attribute with my charm and wit to diffuse fights from 21 on. never another punch thrown.

My biggest victory in that regard came later in 2006. Your wife knows Rob M. His dumb arse started a HUGE brawl at the Prop Stop after one of our group 'pants' a local juice monkey in white sunglasses. All hell broke loose. We had 12 sizable rugby dudes. They had an entire army of buff pissed young dudes and their women(they threw cups of ice and shite at us while on the Water Taxi leaving Prop Stop. seriously).

Thing is, we were there on a Bachelor Party, staying on his big and SLOW boat overnight at Lizzy's. We had nowhere really to run. They followed us to Lizzy's and it was like a frickin movie scene. They sped by us and yelled they'd be waiting for us. So we had 20 minutes or so to contemplate our imminent deaths/asswhoopin the minute we got off the boat.
But this time, a round of shots and beers and apologies abound worked out awesomely and we didn't die or go to jail.

I've been in a few all out brawls unfortunately. Luckily never went to jail other than being held at the substation for a few hours.

We are both too old for that shite now. I'm becoming more of a pacifist as I get older

It was a 2 story place near the police station. I wasn't much of a raver but went a few times. Probably mid 90s I'd guess.

I thought Splash was by the Pastime? Could be completely wrong. I haven't been to many bars in the past 15 years
