if 2o Sushi restaurants fail in a certain city would you invest 10 million in a sushi restaurant that had pony rides as an additional attraction ?

your logicbeing that the fact there are no other sushi restaurants but you know people who have eaten sushi and people who rides ponies,,, thinking the combination and bright lights would make it all work

we looked at the cost to build and it was 6-8 million depending on land cost. There is a shite ton of electronics that go on in that place. trust me. its not just a simple million bucks.

Top golf is nothing even remotely close to an actual golf course. Those comparisons and logic are extremely flawed.

I don't go to top golf to play 18. The few times I have been the vast majority of paying customers are not ones you would see on a course. Your logic of failing courses in the BR are is flawed. I believe we can create an expierence where friends and couples can go to have a good time and spend their hard earned cash.

I believe.

The same people said a bowling alley and movie theatre would never work in Gonzales. Ride by at any time and let me know how it's working out.

this is not an apples to apples comparison. The same number of people that will casually go bowl are not the same as casually play golf. First of all it requires more skill than rolling a ball down a lane. No one with absolute zero know how is likely to go play unless taken by another golfer.

I even tried making the case of it being a "destination" to draw on people from BR/Northshore/Nola and the Gulf Coast, they still didn't have a solid number on users.

I'm not saying it couldn't be successful here. I was a big proponent of it and pushed and pushed for it. However with the initial investment, no one wants to go in the hole 8 million dollars without a solid feeling that they are going to make some profits. Why are there no more celebration stations? Why are there so few bowling alleys. Why are there so few golf courses and driving ranges?

Because people don't have the marbles or business savy that we have.

It's all about population density really, I just don't think BR could support a Top Golf. Sure maybe the first couple months it would do great, but you really think there are enough people in BR, especially near campus or off Burbank, that could sustain one? I don't think so.

Take a look at where the other Top Golf's are located and their population density and size of the city. I wouldn't open one up in BR, it wouldn't get enough attraction week round to keep it running.

I applaud your enthusiasm, I love Top Golf. You also got to think about how often you'll go, especially the college crowd. It's not that cheap when you factor in drinks and everything. And if you haven't figured it out, college kids are for the most part pretty cheap.

As of right now, I firmly believe something close can be built for less than 2 million. That may change, I have a lot of homework to do. What's your email?

They don't even have a D&B
