My a/c unit is located in my back yard, almost right in the middle. There are a lot bigger problems in life to worry about, but when it isn't on, if my neighbors are outside relaxing and I am outside I can talk to them with no problem, but when it is running it is too noisy to hear them. I am going to assume most of you have it on the side of your house. Does anyone else have it located elsewhere?

What about inside? Mine is in the hallway, next to the bathroom, which is obviously where the thermostat is located as well.

I usually don't care about your stupid threads, but really? Do you seriously have nothing at all better to do? There's a new episode of Westworld on tonight, take a break for a little while, then when you get ready to get back on, don't.

Compressor is outside on the side of the house.

Blower/filter is in the crawlspace.

Nice try. You’re not gonna steal very many copper tubes. Units in south LA are elevated since Katrina.

If your set up is what I’m imagining... that’s just weird

My exterior unit is on the side of my house and my interior unit is in the hallway.

I watch homeland and billions, I have this thing called DVR, I will watch them later. Westworld is for nerds. And if you are so worried about me starting a thread because Westworld is on, why are you replying instead of watching it? Idiot.

Have two units, one for downstairs, the other upstairs. Both are located on the side of the house between the outside wall and shrubs. As for noise, I can’t barely hear them.

First house, AC units were in back, but on the opposite end of patio.
Current house, AC units on side, but closer to the patio.
However, I got newer units a few years ago and they are much quieter than ones we had in the past.

Best 4th post ever.

There is actually a bush near it so it really isn't sticking out or anything.
