I know at some point he lived in a house off river rd in Denham. A friend of mine lived in it, and it is absolutely beautiful. Has a big live oak in the drive

I don't believe he had a house there. The strip was near Port Vincent off of Summerfield.

“Cannon pleaded guilty to federal counterfeiting charges involving five others in a major operation that printed $6 million worth of $100 bills, many of which Cannon buried on some of his properties.”
I remember a non descriptive building that was pretty much limited windows and a driveway at where the crescent condos are now., back in the 70s …. is it true that that is where bc ran his counterfeit operations out of ?… that was the rumor I always heard.

Can confirm this. My family has had a camp within a few hundred yards of this strip since the early 70's. My dad remembers suspicious activity before it made the news.

My wife's family lived in Sherwood Forest, so I know where Cannon's house is.
My father-in-law tells of having a flat tire in front of Cannon's house, and while he was changing it, Cannon came out and helped him. He said Cannon was as nice as he could be.
Father-in-law was an LSU freshman the year Cannon won the Heisman, so Cannon being a good dude made an impression.

Did anything happen at “Capozzoli Airport”?
At or right next to - 23458 Hoo Shoo Too Rd, Baton Rouge, LA 70817
I remember when it was up for sale after some flood repairs it was mistakenly thought of being something Barry Seale owned or lived at, but now I can’t remember if had any infamous history or not or if used in movie or tv show.

That was likely a pretty cool midcentury-modern style home at one point.
Baton Rouge has a few examples of those, but not a ton - probably because that's when Hays Town's influence started to take off.

On Kendalwood Rd (turn right near the end of Hoo Shoo Too) there's was a runway carved out through the woods. I had a camp on Amite River Rd. We just assumed it had something to with a Seale, since one of them lived down there.

Watch cocaine cowboys redux long version. His real story is a biography called Barry and the boys.
Good luck finding it, holy frick it’s been republished you can get for 25 bucks everywhere now unreal. Everyone involved must be dead or something. Copies used to be hundreds to thousands of dollars if you could find at all.

The first movie about Barry Seal (played by Dennis Hopper) was a 1991 HBO movie. Dennis Hopper is simply a better actor than Tom Cruise. This portrayal should be viewed by all who have an interest in this story. ETA: The movie is "Double Crossed".

I have a friend who used to have a house there on the river. We'd walk down to the airfield. This was after he had been assassinated, but everyone in the neighborhood knew the story.

Obviously somewhere in St. Amant.

There was a Stop and Rob convenience store there and the building was at one time the Volkswagen dealership - Southern Volkswagen maybe? And I think Prevost Volvo was there at some point. That’s a blurry memory.
But he did have a few ice chests buried there. I do remember that.
