According to the CDC, through the end of July the average number of total deaths in the United States per day was 7,434 this year.
In 2017 there were an average of more than 7,700 deaths per day in the United States.
Where is the major increase in COVID-19 related death?

Shhhh, the Masked Covidians are working on a narrative to explain why deaths are equal in the preceding three years.

They’ve merged with other deaths

How are total deaths down?

Not really a fair comparison. 2017 was Hurricane Harvey.

Covid deaths simply replaced normal deaths that occur everyday. This is common knowledge and has been admitted as much by multiple health officials around the country. Only simpletons still believe the hype

Any time somebody uses only one random year as a stat that proves a point you know it's probably suspect.
What about 2018? 2019? Also, what is the delta for specific types of deaths that aren't commonly conflated with COVID-19? People drove a lot less, so is it possible that there were far fewer fatal auto accidents?

I think car crashes is 65k dead/year.
Thats 1200/week or so.
So 180 or so per day.
If assume a 30% reduction that's only 54/day less from auto accidents.

Could you link those statistics?

2018 was 7778 per day (2,839,205 total)

Per NCHS, 7778 people died per day in 2018. CDC NCHS
2019 a bit tougher to find though I found a chart...

Looks like 175k people a year die from respiratory diseases, pneumonia, and influenza.
I would expect that some of those numbers were cannibalized by COVID-19. The question is how many and why?
I'm hesitant to jump on a qanon conspiracy theory without at least analyzing data and the cause and effect behind it. Outcomes based data can be a trap at times.

in 2019 - Person dies of the flu. Flu related death.
In 2020 - Person dies of the flu. Covid got em.
This is why there's been no spike in deaths across the country.

Current deaths aren't the latest rage of Twitter idiots, it's now "Long term effects"
Posted on 8/11/20 at 7:22 am to East Coast Band
correct, it's about the positivity rate and long term symptoms now.... ridiculous.

I believe there is a pretty standard delay in current year reporting as to cause of death from the CDC. It may be more useful to look at the average ending in May.

Deaths in 0-24 are way down vs the prior 5 years...has to be fewer car crashes

Increases in suicides, overdoses, murders, lack of treatments like chemo, and old/sick people too afraid to go to the hospital have nothing to do with with number of people dying?
