I already have a few NATOs. I wear those most often.

Orange is used in Dive watches because it is the color seen last at the lowest depth. Just an fyi

They make a very nice affordable watch. Classic design and pretty well made. Thumbs up

NATO for sure. ETA you could even do rubber on a deployant.

the breitling in the OP looks like something a dumbass would spend >$6k on
who buys an expensive watch with a plastic band anyway? what are you a teenaged kid? a westbank rapper?

what are you thoughts on the Victorinox AirBoss? This watch has my heart right now. Way out of my budget but I might splurge on it.

That custom Breitling makes you feel some type of way.

You will need to replace that leather strap every 2 years due to sweat/handwashing/general filth, but it has a fine-looking face.

You could probably get a very similar case with a Quartz movement for about half the price. Laco makes some neat cases with Quartz offerings. In reality though, that's not a bad price for an automatic. I have a similar style watch and I enjoy the hell out of it.

aren't quartz movements frowned upon in the long run?

you just opened a can of worms. run away.

It's just not a mechanical watch. I like having a rotor, but I'd do a hand wind movement as well. Not frowned upon, it's just a bit cheaper and more accurate. It would get into the case you wanted quicker. I usually stick with ETA movements, but they're cheap in their own right.

What do you think of this bad boy?
If you are going for that look just get a G-Shock and save the difference.

It really does not matter, it's what you want personally. I have a hand full of automatics and a few quartz watches. If a battery dies on a quarts, I simply don't wear the watch until I get around to changing it. There is not battery to change in an auto. I prefer auto, but it's all in what matters to you.

I like watches. That is ugly.

Well how much is that watch?
Looks like about $7500.
I'd rather get an old Patek Philippe for that type of money.

from my limited research on automatic watches, I think that's the way I'd want to go. Plus I think it's cool to see the movement on the backside. That watch is currently going for $538 on Jomashop and $600 (with metal band) on Amazon and I have a $100 gift card. If for some reason it every goes on some crazy sale, I'm jumping on it.
I may go a cheaper route for my first watch but that AirBoss is definitely on my radar

How many people are diving to those depths? And wearing that watch?
