My thoughts exactly. Living in the deep south, I know I cut my grass year round. Granted, much less in the winter months, but it still gets cut.

Have to cut the yard a few times thru Dec, After that, all is dead till later Feb. Hey, it gets the wife out the house for me.

How many more mows will we neeed to make in Baton Rouge area this year? Last year I winterized my mower too soon.

Also any tips for keeping the battery fresh?

You talkin' about running the fuel out of the system? It isn't that much work to do. Most mowers have a valve now to shut off the supply. Close that, drain the rest from the fuel tank out and you're done. If you have an electric start, disconnect the battery. Maybe store it in the garage or even inside if you're worried about cold.

I got more things to worry about than WHEN I'll winterize the lawn mower.
