If you think this approach fixes anything, take a look at South Africa or Zimbabwe where the blacks simply went from being the oppressed to becoming violent, ruthless, and corrupt oppressors themselves, murdering whites and expropriating their land

I dont see this happening in the american south.

How do them taking accountability stop racism?

Could you imagine the reaction in any other country on earth if they heard that some members of the black community believe righting a wrong that ended in the 1800s is the answer?

Do you really believe that?

Probably never. At this point, even when legitimately racist things do happen, everything under the sun will be some kind of sinful "ism" in the pursuit of power. It's just a rhetorical device meant to make people feel bad about correct observations of reality.

Exactly. I've been suggesting that people concentrate their efforts to change the policies that protect police from prosecution in these cases.

No one wants to hear it. It's all got to be about "systemic racism" because the puppeteers want a new system - communism.

Well if they would quit the majority of crimes in this country that would be a start. Plus moms with 5 kids from 5 different donars could get off the porch and find a job instead of relying on the gov to help them live. And of said 5 children she most of the time don’t know where they are or even care as long as she gets that free money.

Did you learn all this at the police academy?

Consider that they don't commit the majority of crimes as much as they are charged with the majority of crimes. Consider that an entire crime war called the "War on Drugs" was started to deliberately target and attack black communities. Which led to exasperation of other crimes and destruction of community. Black people don't use drugs at higher rates than other demographics. They just get targeted for it more.

The things that you blame the black community for are the result of their communities being deliberately targeted and destroyed for decades.

Well I do remember a few years back that a 12 year old boy was out at 2 in the morning shooting at police cars..... think about that for a second.

My fear is that we come together address all this and miraculously come up with solutions, then 2 years from now, another "bad apple" cop kills a black man (and it is an extreme outlier). Is it just riots all over again? Maybe worse riots?

While there is some truth to this, there’s no way it accounts for the disparities in crime statistics.

Most of what you said is just an excuse. I would LOVE to make easy money slinging rocks. Might have been able to help my mom out when we were on food stamps for a time. I didn't. You know why I didn't? Because I didn't want to get arrested over and over again and ruin my life. You know what else has been targeted towards inner cities for decades now? Anti drug programs, billions of dollars worth of programs educating about the downfalls of getting involved with drugs, either as the seller or buyer. Your statement makes it sound like Black Americans cannot say no to carrying or selling drugs because the government secretly wanted them to 60 years ago. Think about that. In that same 60 years, Black Americans have raised its fist against the US government under the flag of racism, but cannot and will not give up the drug game, hereby giving themselves far less chance of ever having to be involved with any police officers in their lifetime.

Do you honestly think electing a black president proves racism is over?

The US isn't a racist country. Sure, it still exists and it always will. There's nothing you can do about that. I think everyone harbors a little bit of racism whether they'll admit it or not.

Let's just do a quick history recap. There were hundreds of years of slavery, 100 years of segregation and Jim Crow, decades of the Drug War, all running consecutively, and there are still people who deny racism is still a significant part of America today. This is willful.
