I was pro Flock cameras for getting naughty baws off the streets, but then realized after passing a Flock camera as I was doing excessive speed down a long, winding backroad yesterday: “this tech could evolve and make me a nawty baw.”

I’m now outraged and afraid this could ruin my sports car and motorcycle habit. They need to go. Can these things give you speeding tickets yet?

They already are in some states like New Mexico. I went to Albuquerque a few weeks ago. When I picked up my rental car they told me go the speed limit because there were flick speed cameras everywhere. La doesn’t allow for “remote speed enforcement”.

All Flock cameras need to be replaced with Ouster Rev8 LiDar.
It’s non invasive.

Contact your legislator.

Then how do places like Baker get away with it?

Also, even if what you said was true, we can just slap a "...yet" on the end of it.

Once the existing contracts are done they can’t be renewed. Legislature changed the law last year.

If we're going to have a Flock Camera on every corner then it sounds like we don't need as many cops.

Why do you assume they are not?

What if they are already testing their use waiting for the next election cycle.

Correct. We'll just need Apprehension Engineers.

License Plate Readers have been used for speeding tickets for many years in some places. Flock License Plate Readers are just not into that game.
