Wife was going through a time where she was depressed and angry with everyone. About a month ago I told her “I feel I have to say this. You’ve been rude and condescending to all of us for the last six months. I can’t deal with it anymore. If you feel you can’t get some help and turn this around, I suggest you call XXX (friend who is getting a divorce) and see if her attorney will give y’all a group rate.”
She didn’t talk to me for 4 days, but since then she started therapy and it’s been better than it’s been in years.

I hate the saying “perception is reality.”
No. What if the person has fricked up perception?
It’s along the lines of “If you believe it, it’s not a lie.”

If you have to specify "my truth" then it's almost certainly not the truth.

When Was the Last Time You Spoke Your Truth?
All the time. One thing my therapist instilled in me several years ago is to always speak my truth, and I will never have to apologize for it.
Seemed like great advice at the time -- and still holds true today. Has really helped me in the professional work environment, as well as personal relationships.

Out of all the trendy new expressions from the last few years, this is definitely the most annoying one.
Anytime someone is asked to speak their truth or speaks their truth, it's nothing but a bunch of opinions.

I told my co-worker awhile ago that his breathe was bad. Does that count.
