I changed the tire and I did not spill my beer while I was doing it. I miss living in the Caribbean on an island where drinking and driving was legal.

About 6 months ago on the side of I-55 in my work vehicle. I quickly remembered that when you get a new vehicle, you need to figure all of that shite out as soon as you get the vehicle...on the side of an interstate highway after dark is no place to try to learn about that shite.

February of 2017. Had a blow out on the way to a job interview. I had built in an extra 20 minutes for unforeseen issues. So I was able to change the tire and still make it to the interview on time.

In the Manchac boat launch parking lot after a long day of boating.
I also rotate my tires myself so changing a tire myself is not a big deal to me.

Long time.
My most recent bad tire was about a month ago, but I was able to make it to the tire shop. They have power tools and I had to buy a new tire anyway, so I might as well let them do everything.

Be careful...I know a guy who got robbed at a boat ramp while doing that very thing. Dude knew he liked to come off the lake late and stuck his tire to distract him. Dude came out of the woods by the ramp and took his money.

Messing with a nail gun and shot a nail through my sidewall of the tire.

October 31, 2013.
Tire started shredding at 70 MPH on I-10 in Houston. Luckily there was an exit right there, and got to the frontage road. Was back up and running about 15 minutes later.
Thanks, Dad, for teaching me that. Always good to be self-sufficient.

Last week. Called AAA but they said it would be 2 hours so I said frick it and did it myself. Fricker came much earlier after I had already done everything in time to tighten the lugnuts and drop it down

1999, I-10 right outside Breaux Bridge during heavy rain. Firestones were being a real bitch that autumn. It sucked hard.

AAA is where it’s at baws. The closest to doing so was fall 1995. I had the jack positioned and then they got there to save me from that cheap jack they put in cars.

November, 2016. Tire went flat on the new bridge headed into BR. Made it to Pasttimes parking lot with two other trucks there with flats as well. Seems somebody lost a box of bolts and we were the lucky winners to find a few of them.

So I call BR City Police to come watch me change the tire so I would get mugged and murdered.
