The magic of books, the smell, the cover art, etc is all lost with e-readers.

The "book" smell of a library book is actually the smell of used band aids and cat pee

About a month ago. Library by my house is really nice. Even has a nice coffee shop in it run by some city agency that employs teenagers/adults with Autism

Our library is awesome. You can also "check out" tickets for events and museums.

I get ebooks through my library.

In order to maintain my card, though, the library requires me to go in person to activate it for the next year.

Over a year ago when my computer crashed. The library has plenty of computers you can use for no charge. I had to get my TigerDroppings fix.

I can only speak for BR. I enjoy a library but then I see how out of control these people get in building them. They end up being a waste.

I can see that. My library is awesome enough that, I shite you not, it's the local hangout for the high schoolers. Our population is a little... different from BR, though.
