When two strands of time cross how do we know our original choices?

Or who we really are?
Reality 1 is “us” and in some freak accident we collide with reality 2 “us 2” (AKA FREAKING LIGO or CERN)
Us and Us 2 merge. Who is who? Are we us or us 2?
Or are we both? All versions of ourselves in a reality with dimensions beyond our capability to understand?
Every crush is a wife in 1 trillion timelines. In this one, the magnets are reversed to propel each other.
So many questions.

Only a single object can occupy the space it is in at a time. Blending is not possible with current understanding.

The fact is we are already dead and reliving one possible timeline right now as the brain activity after death of 6 minutes becomes eternity in the dreamscape.
