Question. Made this route today from 30A to Austin, today.
Why do the Gordon/Bart etc billboards stop at the state line. What's keeping them from taking on the Texas market? Or rest of the US for that matter?
Are the billboards more expensive because of competing offers from other businesses or some other law?

I live in the Houston area now, but still drive back to Acadiana area quite often.
The difference in percentage of billboards that are for trial and injury lawyers along the stretch from Houston to Orange vs Vinton to Lafayette is blatantly obvious to even a casual observer.
And the way Gordon does his billboards, it’s clear he’s trying to be a conceded jackass about it.

Want to say I ended up counting 75-80. It averaged 1 billboard every 2 miles along a stretch of interstate that goes through Shreveport and BFE Louisiana
Alexander shannurah laughs at 80 billboards. You can count 80 of his in 10 miles. A lot of times he has one on top of another. Same ad, stacked up

Bro, that used to be a problem. Now that we passed tort reform expect Louisiana to have all the jobs. Education rankings will shoot up, health rankings will begin to increase. I think our roads and politicians will see this success and will have no choice but to shape up and fix themselves.

The way Louisiana is currently set up is like a spoils system. Either you pay taxes or you pay other companies to be here, even if they compete with you.
Companies don't want to have to depend on making politicians happy in order to keep subsidies rolling in. Yet, we celebrate politicians for it.
I'm convinced that we would be better off if you abolished the Louisiana Department of Economic Development, all tax credit schemes, and simply lowered taxes by that amount.
