My wife is a breast cancer survivor, 21 years cancer free, and my youngest daughter is named Shelby.
Like another poster said, cancer treatment is 10 fold better than what my wife endured 20 years ago.
I'll pray for you and Shelby.

You will do your best. Shelley will do her best. Together you are stronger, and with faith, your strength is multiplied.
You know you have our prayers, stop and think about all these strangers who are for you.
When things were bad in my life, I played PONG (long time ago) until I was ready to sleep. And another time, I wrote a play and all the stupid things became acts in the play. Never did anything with it, but just writing helped.

Appreciate your encouragement. Great name for a daughter. Shelby is a licensed social worker who has poured her life into working with CPS.
She’s devoted to helping kids. This is why I question my own faith truth be told.

For example, if your fiance gets a clean scan, celebrate it.
If her cancer blood marker test is in the normal range, celebrate it.
When she is halfway through her chemo treatments, celebrate it.
When she finishes her chemo treatments, really celebrate it.
Go out to eat at her favorite restaurant. Buy her favorite cake from the bakery. Take a staycation. Rent her favorite movie on Netflix or Amazon Prime.
Do something, anything, that feels special...and normal, too. ("Normal" is a wonderful word.)
Every victory is a victory. Acknowledge each victory and celebrate it...
