Yes, I’m vintage and yes I’m a boomer and damn proud of it.
My father fought in the South Pacific in WWII on a PT boat at the age of 18 and I’m so proud of him. He taught me how to be a man. He taught me how to make things and how to fix things.
He taught me how to treat a lady and how to give them courtesy and respect them.
He taught me when you marry that your vows until you part is everlasting, which I have kept in my own marriage for 50 years.
He taught me to love my children whatever their flaws.
He taught me how to love and take care of our elders until they die, which I did for him and my mother.
His lessons to me and how I lived my life through his example in life made me tremendously successful.
For those who take swipes at boomers on this board I’m sorry that you weren’t able to live the wonderful life that I have had as a boomer born from the greatest generation.
I know I will get many down votes because so many have not been blessed as I am. Your down vote will be an acknowledgment of that and I pray for you.
