Jody is a good man and seems to have moved beyond the events of that day and its aftermath. I'm sure not without tremendous personal struggle over time that he's bravely handled quite well.

I want to say that after that happened he either called her lawyer or communicated to her in some way to "Keep her mouth shut" if she had any hope of getting off. He may have even flown out there. I don't recall as it was a long time ago.
