we were the bosses when it started

Yeah. That woke crap was always being pushed by people younger than me. Folks my age would just roll our and call them F'ing stupid.
Problem is we just minded our own business when we should have slapped back on those younger dumbasses and told them to STFU. Of course, that would mean getting cancelled. So you can understand why most of us were just smart enough to keep our heads low and mind our own business.

Gen X still aren’t “the bosses”

The difference is GenX doesn't GAF about anyone else. We are feral AF and prefer to work hard, play hard, and MOOB!

They are a nothing generation that will by and large get skipped over once the boomers finally cede power via their deaths.
It’s very likely we’ll never have a GenX potus. Kinda fricked up.

Gen X here...what did we do to wrong anybody -- besides the whole growing up as latchkey kids, paying off student loans and other bills and then caring for aging parents.
And many of us are still helping adult children because they can’t afford to gtfo of the house.

I look at the generations behind me and for the most part (not all), I’m dumbfounded at how helpless they seem to be. I mean, holy shite, everyone has self-doubt and anxiety. It’s called being human. That’s not an excuse for letting the world carry you along. Sorry, I see a cloud that I need to yell at…brb.

This is idea that Gen X was skipped as being bosses is just not true.

When does Gen-Z start blaming Gen-X for their problems
Once the 75 year old boomers that are still working and think 50k/yr is a good salary finally retire.

As soon as the Boomers are deceased.
Losers need someone on which to blame their failures.

This is idea that Gen X was skipped as being bosses is just not true.
Average promotions over 5 years
A large leadership dataset (25,000 leaders across industries) shows Gen X leaders received an average of 1.2 promotions over five years, compared with 1.6 promotions for millennials and 1.4 for baby boomers. This same research found Gen X had the highest share of leaders getting only one or no promotions in that period, signaling slower upward mobility than millennials.

Only because of gen X starting the letter trend..
I read up on why, and X was basically an unknown marker... and it stuck
Gen X was coined by a Canadian author, his book in 1991 was titled Generation X: Tales for an Accelerated Culture. It was about disaffected young adults with no defining identity.

boomers started that crap in the 60’s, started making it policy in schools in the 90’s with the help of gen xers.
The frick?? Most of Gen X was in HS and College in the 90’s. Can’t put that shite on us.
Hell the earliest that a Gen X’er could have been in the Senate would have been 95. So no, this is crap…
