I found a gif of Mingo showing his Gen X pride.

Xennials (1977-1983) is the best generation of all time.

We don't care. We will watch the world burn even if i burns us too....
Signed Gen-X

I say this as an Xer...Gen X intellectually screwed up this country and in many ways that's going to be harder to turn around than the economic destruction of the boomer.

Gen X should have mostly benefited from the “affordability crisis” that is as long as they purchased a house they wanted to be in for a long time before 2020

Blaming is a lot easier than taking responsibility for your situation and doing something constructive about it. Start by listening to "Carefree Highway" by Gordon Lightfoot.

This is a good point, but a lot of Gen X also ran into major obstacles for these reasons: If you look at the tail end of that group who finished college around 99-03, we paid off our college loans just in time for all the Great Recession bullshite. Add to that having older parents who had healthcare/assistance needs, I can attest that combo was a mess for me personally.

They already do. But we all know Gen X is the best current generation.

I don't think they'll blame GenX.
If they do, then the usual response will be, frick off.

That we were the last generation to have our priorities straight; sex, drugs, and music.

The later portion of that age range is millennial.

Hopefully the stupid generation names... We got Silent, Boomer then a bunch of random letters on the arse end of the alphabet. Why?
Because we were the unknowns and began to break typical accepted norms. In math "X" is the unknown variable

Author Douglas Coupland, who popularized the name in his 1991 novel Generation X: Tales for an Accelerated Culture, credited the term to Paul Fussell's 1983 book Class

Average of the senate is 63
This mess is on old Baws

It seems like X is defined as people born from 1964-80, so that 99-03 college grad group would be in that tail end of X.

I pass no judgement on people that took a few more years at LSU than necessary but 22 is when most people graduate college

Understood. If somebody was born from 77-80 in Gen X, the 99-03 college grad years are 22 years later.
It did take me about a year longer than a lot of folks because I worked at a grocery store for a year between finishing high school and starting college.

Never because Gen X isn’t a morally and financially bankrupt generation of assholes.
Posted on 12/16/25 at 8:19 am to deeprig9
Blaming someone else is more and more popular every day and it's not just confined to those two generations.
