I went to F&Ms for the first time in over two years a couple weeks ago.

I thought the music was too loud, the place was dirty, I was tired of waiting for service, I was pissed that people kept bumping into me, and then I ordered the cheese fries.

I ate them with a fork, and I got extra napkins to wipe my hands and mouth when I was done.

When I left I realized I'm way too old for that place and everyone in there looked like they were college freshman.

Sad realization. Those cheese fries were as good as ever though.

Im 32. Been married for 9 years, have other friends that married and one that has been a bachelor his whole life. We always make one guys trip to the beach every year to party hard. Well all of my friend had kids except me and the bachelor. The bachelor finds out in jan. that he got this chick he was dating preg. We go on our guys trip 4th of july, and by first weekend in august he is married and has this kid on the way. It just set in that it was probably our last guys trip and that everyone is settling down. I dont have any kids and not sure i want any, but the reality of it all is surreal.

Exactly. When you have pain and you haven't done anything to hurt yourself. Guess it's a sign of things just wearing out...

Yesterday, so Saturday morning my 15 yr old son who plays football asks me to take him to the YMCA so he can get an extra workout in for the week. I took him and "worked out" with him. I am not sure if I can take enough Ibuprofen to function and still stay awake at work. I am hurting from the squats we did.

When I started having to trim my nose hairs every week. I figure I will officially be old when I stop caring enough to do so.

Don't forget about the audio receptacles on each side of the head. My wife found one, a hair, about three inches long on the back of one of them a couple of weeks back. I never knew it was there.

Great topic. I'm 40. I take preventive steps to not "feel" old. I can't hear for shite, but I blame it on everyone else whispering. I can't see, but squint real good. I switched gyms when I realized I was getting to be part of the "older" crowd to a place where all the geriatrics make me feel like I'm 20 again. I shave my head to hide the balding, and do a once over with a trimmer on the nose and ears just to be safe....our of sight, out of mind. I work out daily because I'm not ready for my high schooler to out pitch/out hit/out lift me and I eat right so I'm around to see my 2 yo and my yet to born son grow up. And when I remarried, she was 10 years my junior.

When I'm ready to get back home after 4 days of a week vacation to the beach.

Also, ready to leave a bar packed with fine college snatch at 11pm.

Tough reality to face.

Took a soccer ball off the chest this spring.

Had to sleep on my back and had trouble breathing for 3 weeks.

Hooray probable slightly cracked rib!

It still makes me feel old when I hear ESPN talk about players who are getting too old for sports who are younger than me.
